DEPUTY DIRECTOR (IT)
Duties and Accountabilities
Responsible for the overall IT Management for the entire Head Office which
includes IT infrastructure management, IT service delivery management, vendor
management, software management, project management etc.
Competence
Educational / Experience: A master's degree (MCA) or BE(IT) with minimum of
10 years of relevant experience in IT dept of any Organization of which two
years work experience in middle management is essential. Exposure in an
educational institute is desirable. Candidate having a blend of industrial and
educational experience is preferable.
IT Infrastructure Management: He/She should have experience in planning,
procurement and maintenance of IT infrastructure and should possess
knowledge in defining and implementing IT policies, procedures, security
standards, IT budgeting, determining future hardware/software requirement.
IT Application Management: The candidate should be able to standardize
application components for easy manageability, perform capacity planning
and management for supporting infrastructure to take care of future
requirements.
Project Management: The candidate should have experience in software
project management which includes identifying user requirement, preparing
FRS/SRS document, co-ordination with software vendor, project scheduling.
Communication and Interpersonal skills: An excellent record of sharing
information with colleagues, students, and staff at all levels of the institute is a
prerequisite.
Technical Knowledge: Should have experience/knowledge in
Local area and wide area networking
Operating System like Win 2000/2003/2008 Server, Linux.
DBA activities in Oracle 8.x/9.x/10g.
programming using Developer 2000, SQL, PL/SQL, VB, .Net
implementing ERP solution (preferable)
Pay Scale : 15600-39100+7600. (Starting Basic Pay 29500)
Age : Should be below 40 years.
